Of the many historical Khmer sites in Thailand, Phanom Rung is the largest. Located some 50km from the Leelawadee Gardens it is quite accessible by car. Sat on top of an old dormant volcano in Buri Ram province, it provides a great panoramic view of the Korat plateau.
Down in the low lands is another Khmer monument called Prasat Muang Tam. This is approximately 5 km from Phanom Rung. Set in tranquil gardens this another great example of the khmer empire.

The Leelawadee Gardens is now a Wi-Fi hot-spot.
