The Leelawadee Gardens Resort Prasat Surin Isaan is a friendly family business combining great service with a relaxed atmosphere. Whether staying in one of our bungalows, relaxing by our swimming pool or in our sala, enjoying a drink in our beer garden, or trying one of many Thai and western delights from our popular restaurant, you’ll get a taste of real Thai life that few other resorts can offer.
Located in Prasat, a small town in the province of Surin in the Isaan area, the Leelawadee Gardens is perfectly positioned for those wishing to explore the spectacular Khmer ruins of northeastern Thailand. A few hours away is the world-famous Angkor Wat, the magnificent ancient capital of the Khmer empire. Surin is famed for its elephants, and in November the province stages the ‘elephant round-up’, a celebration of traditional northeastern culture which is growing in popularity every year. The Leelawadee Gardens offers assistance with ticketing and transportation to all these attractions.

The Leelawadee Gardens is now a Wi-Fi hot-spot.

I had the pleasure of staying at LeeLaWadee for more than a month a while back and I have been recommending the place ever since.
Very nice rooms, aircon, fridge and TV… great swimming pool only steps away… the sala for a bit of relaxation and heavy discussions, depending on who’s around…
Good food, recently added the curried fish, finger licking good is how I’d describe it…
James skimps a bit on the baked beans
but other than that, great place if you’re in the area…
All the best to you James!

I stayed a week or so at Leelawadee Resort last year. I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice and clean airconditioned rooms, good thai and foreign food, and ample service. Exceptional for this part of the country.
Thanks James, go Lakers! Brad.

I don’t blog on a regular basis, so I’m not sure this is posted in the correct spot but here goes. I would like to leave a ringing endorsement for the Leelawadee Gardens! My son and I traveled there in November 2009 and made all of our arrangements on line. I’m here to tell everyone that we had a fabulous time and everything exceeded our expectations. We had made arrangements to be picked up in Surin at 7:30 in the morning. We had just arrived by train and had no idea what to expect. Well,James was there to give us a warm greeting (having never met us before)and drove us to our rooms which were wonderful. Staying at the Leelawadee was a great experience and we hope to return someday. It was a wonderful part of Thailand, and I’d highly recommend traveling to Prasat and the Leelawadee. Thanks James and gang for making our trip such a wonderful experience.
